32. Read 20 books (10/20)
I finally finished reading “Eat Pray Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. It took me a while, not because I didn’t enjoy it, but because it was one of those books that I really wanted to take in everything described, all the concepts, experiences, realizations, and journey.
Her self-discovery journey reminds me of Greg Mortenson in “Three Cups of Tea.” - how individuals can strive to be the best of themselves, and end up finding what was always meant to be for their destiny. That’s a weird word to me. I’ve always tried to avoid it, just because it means so much, so heavy. Somehow, reading about these inspiring people going through the most difficult times of their lives, makes me wonder if one’s path was somehow formed and paved long before it was discovered.
A lot of times, we say that things that are meant to be, will happen eventually. What’s meant for you will come sooner or later; on the other hand, what doesn’t belong to you, can never be forced upon. But when it’s you, it’s always somewhat harder to wrap your head around it.
I wonder what’s going to be. That’s life I guess, no one is ever going to tell you what exactly will happen eventually. People either dread the unexpected, or simply get used to taking it easy. Got to embrace the chaos, sometimes it’s nice not to know what’s coming up next.
