Say hi.

Anthony and I checked out VAG last night. There was random percussionists playing outside the gallery. They looked hella happy.

Spending time trying to understand Emily Carr’s paintings, as a ECU grad, it’s embarrassing to say I haven’t even really seen her work that much. Paintings were dark, mysterious most of the time.. with deserted landscape and thick forest greens.

Reece Terris’ NEXT was authentic and vivid. Rooms were set up to depict different domestic spaces in each decade, from the 60’s all the way to the future. I like the 10-pound coasters, and the gigantic fish tank with only one tiny black fish in it. I miss the rotary phones. They were pretty awesome.

We stood in front of Jack Shadbolt’s “The Choice,” trying to understand our mysterious encounters with 2 separate psychics.

Andrew Gursky works were jaw-dropping. It made me speechless. I love his choice of vantage points, and the incredible details captured.

I missed volleyball session with the roommates, but this made me feel so much more like home tonight.
