Ever had anyone in your life that just brings out the best in you? You can never describe the feeling of having someone that believes in you so much and so deeply. It is heart-felt, it makes you speechless, filled with love, and gratitude. Fiona and Philipp are like that to me. I love them both, with all my heart.
We decided to spend some time together before they leave for Germany for 3 weeks. We indulged ourselves with some of Fiona’s amazing home-made pasta and salad with roasted pine nuts. I brought wine, wrapped in the kind of sky blue that makes you happy. We had yummy desserts of chocolate pudding and whip cream.
We ate, we drank, we laughed like crazy. We sat on the balcony talking about random animals and spiritual things. We watched marsupilami and TED.
She said, if you just believe in it with all your heart, it will. It might not be now, or tomorrow, but it will. You just got to believe it. She believes in Barclay and I more than myself. I know it’s risky thinking, but it makes me smile, knowing that faith does help.
I slept over in awesome pink pajamas, and woke up with Philippe’s coffee and amazing Aachen plum mousse. I think my stomach has been spoiled quite a bit too much these days.
Thank you both, for having so much faith in me. You have asked for so little, yet given me so much. I am lucky to have you.
By next spring, these two lovely people will be in Amsterdam. I can’t wait til my internship, my rockstar trip, and visiting them in the farm with crazy cow milking machines. :)
