K’naan - “Take A Minute”
I remember on our first day at Emily Carr, we were fortunate to have Sol Guy joined us for a short talk and a presentation on 4REAL. It was my first time watching a clip on K’naan and Sol Guy’s work in conflicted nations. It really hit me, that sometimes in order to engage people, and make necessary changes happen starting from the core, you have to speak their language, use their ways of communication. K’naan’s songs speak to the kids, the teens, and the whole community that live and breathe the conflict. I admire him for doing what he does. :)
