Everyone has an addiction of choice, with or without acknowledgement. Surely drugs, alcohol, and substance abuse are dominant, but addictions also exist in all different and even unrecognizable forms. In our generation, social media are simply taking over. Almost everyone has at least one, if not four, social media tool being used on a daily basis. It is not a choice anymore, more like an addiction. I am not commenting with the belief that I am superior or beyond this kind of behaviour. This is simply an observation. I wonder what’s with all the need and constant urge to find out what others are up to. Maybe it’s a new way to indirectly experience a whole different variety of life styles, or maybe it’s simply to make one feel involved and “busy.” Weird, huh.
