For the next little while,
I’m working like crazy. I do miss the beach, and the sunshine. The summer after a hectic design degree, should be rewarded with some good old relaxing times. But I want a little bit more than that. In order to make my dream come true, I got to work hard. The trip will be worth while, better than countless beers, tv sessions, or shopping sprees. Just have to aim for it, and it will happen.

When a 13-year-old From 2009 Uses a Walkman For a... →
unexcitable:
Here’s what happens when you give a 13-year-old from 2009 a Sony Walkman—the tape kind—and ask him to figure it out without any outside help: incredible confusion.
Notable quote from the kid:
Another notable feature that the iPod has and the Walkman doesn’t is “shuffle”, where the player selects random tracks to play. Its a function that, on the face of it, the Walkman lacks....

They asked me how I was. I said, much better. It was then I realized I actually meant it.
“It’s just not worth the time, and the heart.” After 3 months, I am finally good. I actually mean it when I say I am doing good. I don’t want to look back anymore. It’s gone, and I’ve grown. There’s too much to explore, no need to dwell on things in life that hold...

I am exhausted. First day of work, everything was hectic. I tried remembering the VIPs by counting potato heads, not so easy. Too many people to meet, too little time to process. I need to go to bed.

Having all these countless technological communication media is exhausting. If you are not careful, you end up spending more time coming up with updates than actually doing things. People connect way more online using shared media, instead of the old fashion way of saying hi. Sometimes I really miss that.

Tal and I are watching Mulan tonight. :D I played Mulan back in the summer camp of ‘98. We made fake swords with tinfoil paper and armors with cardboard. I loved every bit of it!

It’s always easy to feel gloomy about frustrations and obstacles you come across daily. I’ve been doing that quite a bit. Until tonight, Jaki made my night. It wasn’t until we met up and fought to talk about each of our crazy week that I realized, things are actually getting better. A lot better. My June has flown by with some good news. I got a new job offer and an internship at...

It’s my second night at my new place. The girls are lovely. I am not used to the place just yet. My marimba is up, that makes it feel like home a lot more. Still, lots to unpack. My tiny closet is jam-packed. I’ll do it bit by bit. It’ll be sweet soon.

Today was a teary one. I felt kind of down coming home to our almost empty apartment. Few days from now I won’t even be coming back here at all. It’s only been a year since we first moved in, but I love this place. I do. Tina cried today. We decided to cancel the landline that’s been with us since the very beginning. These numbers mean a lot to us. It’s been 10 years. Oh...

Today was a good day. Thanks to Jose for helping out so much, and making everything a lot easier and more enjoyable. We spent more time lying on the floor eating popsticles and joking around than feeling exhausted by countless of trips.
Our rewards were the ever-so-famous japadogs and some relaxing time on the beach. This time, we got the old-school red and white checkered blanket.
I need more...

After 2 trips, 20 something boxes, one gigantic bruise, two knee scraps, one still-numb thumb, and countless little things that don’t seem to fit anywhere, my moving is probably 70% done.
It’s at times like this that I wonder how I always end up with so much STUFF.

Jose: Hello.
Em: What?
Jose: To the old man with that awesome speedo.
Em: Wow.
Jose: I know.
Em: He's done that speedo very proud.
Jose: I think he's walking to that other old man with another awesome speedo.

I hope everyone had the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunshine yesterday. Jaki and I spent some time down at the beach. SPANDY ANDY gave the crowd some very entertaining dance moves. We loved the mood, the sunset, the beer, and the highly anticipated summer.
